Permission to Pivot: Ethics, Well-Being, and Redefining Your Legal Career examines the intersection of professional responsibility and personal sustainability in the legal field. Grounded in the Rules of Professional Conduct, (competence, diligence) this program will examine the ethical responsibilities lawyers hold when stepping away from roles, transitioning between jobs, or moving into adjacent professions. Topics include maintaining client confidentiality, ensuring continuity of representation, and upholding duties of competence and diligence during periods of change.
Participants will gain insight into how prioritizing well-being is not only personally sustainable but also professionally responsible, and how career pivots, when handled with integrity, can align with our highest ethical obligations as attorneys.
