MODERATED-Session 6 of 10 - Mr. Kornblum, a highly experienced trial and litigation lawyer for over 50 years, will conduct ten 75-minute Webinars sessions on the Essentials of Civil Litigation with the objective of helping lawyers at all levels to evaluate their approach to handling civil cases. The course will explore what you need to consider and how to focus on refining your skills so you can better serve your client in litigated matters. The course will cover topics from when you first agree to represent your client through trial.**Session Six is designed to help you improve your deposition taking skills so that the transcript reflects the information you need to prepare for trial and to use at trial if needed. The emphasis will be on the discipline needed to form effective questions which require and obtain answers that are responsive, and to avoid clutter and colloquy that gets in the way of transcripts use at trial. Mr. Kornblum will also cover how to ensure that witness understands the nature of the deposition process to avoid that witness from escaping from any challenges to use of the transcript at trial.
