Tania Soris advises on a wide range of complex domestic and cross-border transactions involving technology matters, including big data governance, the Internet of Things, SaaS and cloud computing, cybersecurity risk management, data compliance programs, data collection and sharing, licensing, outsourcing, and state data breach notification requirements. Tania is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. region (CIPP/US).
Tania also counsels clients on developing and implementing comprehensive privacy and cybersecurity compliance frameworks and helps clients navigate technology-related laws and regulations including the GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, GLBA and the New York DFS regulations.
Tania earned her law degrees from Duke University, School of Law, and the University of Leeds. Tania also holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Analytics from Columbia University, and an Executive MBA from Temple University Japan.
Tania is a member of a working group established by X9, an ANSI-accredited standard developing organization that is aimed at developing a universal standard for data protection and data breach notification in the financial services industry.
