Susan Nash has extensive experience working with employers, health plans, insurers, and vendors on health care strategy, design, funding, and implementation of health and welfare benefit plans. These include medical, prescription drug, wellness programs, on-site clinics, telemedicine, disability, disease management, mental health benefits, cafeteria plans, and consumer-directed health plans such as health reimbursement arrangements and health savings accounts. She also has extensive experience advising employers with respect to federal and state paid leave requirements, paid-time off, qualified disaster relief, and paid leave donation programs.
Susan also has extensive experience advising clients on innovative employee benefit strategies and funding, including employer direct contracting with providers, population health management, on-site clinics, private health care exchanges, VEBAs, and association health plans. She has counseled a wide variety of employers and health plans on compliance with the HIPAA’s privacy, security, and nondiscrimination requirements. Susan has represented clients in negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, and in contracting with third-party vendors for health and welfare plans.
Susan is co-chair of the firm’s Health and Welfare Plan Group.
