Steven E. Jedlinski, Esq.
Steven E. Jedlinski is a trial lawyer whose national practice includes counseling clients regarding disputes related to all types of intellectual property. Mr. Jedlinski regularly practices in federal trial and appellate courts and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings around the country. As a registered attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Mr. Jedlinski has experience in proceedings before the Patent and Trademark Trial and Appeal Boards (PTAB and TTAB). He is well versed in all facets of litigation, from preliminary injunction proceedings through trial and ultimately appeal.
Mr. Jedlinski's practice is distinguished by his technical knowledge, gained while earning a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering; his extensive litigation experience; and his tenacious personality, which propelled him from a walk-on to a leadership role as a Big Ten collegiate athlete. He crafts and implements efficient strategies for achieving real business goals whether facing off against an industry competitor, a non-practicing entity or rogue former business partner. • receiving a covenant not to sue and voluntary dismissal from a patent owner for no monetary payment after the submission of extensive summary judgment briefing
• obtaining a consent judgment from a trademark infringer
In addition to his practice, Mr. Jedlinski writes and speaks on intellectual property issues and is one of the editors of Holland & Knight's Trade Secret Blog. He currently sits on the Advisory Board for Northwestern University's Biomedical Engineering Department. Mr. Jedlinski was a walk-on, four-year starter and captain of his collegiate soccer team, and he played in Major League Soccer's Reserve League.
