Sandy Sakamoto is a partner at LimNexus LLP in Los Angeles representing Fortune 500 companies and major businesses in the areas of real estate, business transactions and commercial and tort Litigation. She has experience in a breadth of practice areas including business, real estate, financial transactions, and litigation. Her real estate experience includes development, build-to-suit office facilities, acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and commercial loans, including the representation of lenders for the development of new hydrogen technology infrastructure, real estate loans to auto dealerships and other projects. Ms. Sakamoto has handled a wide array of business transactions.
In addition, Ms. Sakamoto has experience on a wide variety of business, commercial and complex tort litigation, including class actions, employment, fraud and breach of contract matters.
Ms. Sakamoto is a community leader serving in leadership positions with nonprofit organizations devoted to civil rights social and economic justice, diversity, equity and inclusion. She serves on many boards including Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles (former Board Chair), the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (former Board Chair), and the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (Vice Chair). Ms. Sakamoto has served on the Board of NAMWOLF and led several committees, participated on US-Japan Council’s Japanese American Leadership Delegation and served as a Regional Chair, and formerly served on the Board of the Angeles Girl Scout Council.
Prior to joining LimNexus, Ms. Sakamoto served as General Attorney and Assistant General Counsel for a global Fortune 50 telecommunications company in charge of its Los Angeles regional law department. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, M.S.A. in Business from California State Dominguez Hills, and B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Utah (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
