Samantha Stillo, Esq.
Samantha Stillo is an associate on the Business and Commercial Litigation group at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. Ms. Stillo focuses her practice in the area of complex business litigation, representing businesses in complex commercial disputes, such as breaches of contract, shareholder disputes, construction disputes, commercial real estate, and trade secret disputes.
Actively involved in the professional legal community of Monmouth County, she is a member of the Monmouth Bar Association and has been appointed to its Young Lawyers Committee and Chancery Practice Committee. Ms. Stillo is a member of the Monmouth University Alumni Association Board of Directors. She is also a member of the New York City, New York State and New Jersey Bar Associations. Since 2018, Ms. Stillo has been selected by New Jersey Super Lawyers as a Rising Star.
Prior to joining Wilentz, she practiced at a national law firm in New York City where she was part of a trial team that secured a favorable defense verdict for a client who was sued in a high-profile, multi-million dollar lawsuit. Ms. Stillo also worked on various construction litigation matters and general liability litigation matters.
Prior to working as a litigation attorney, she clerked for the Honorable Joseph W. Oxley, J.S.C in the New Jersey Superior Court, where she researched and drafted judicial opinions. Ms. Stillo has been certified as a Civil Mediator with the Special Civil Division-Small Claims Part.
Her previous legal experience also includes serving as a legal intern for: the Office of The New York State Attorney General; the New York City Department of Investigation; the Honorable Robert J. Gigante in Richmond County Surrogate’s Court where Ms. Stillo assisted in drafting an legal opinion on estate administration published in the New York Law Journal; and the Honorable Judith N. McMahon in the Richmond County Supreme Court.
While attending law school at Villanova University, Ms. Stillo was honored with the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono Service, which acknowledges students who have dedicated an exceptional amount of time to working with pro bono clients. She also received the Annual Villanova Law Institutional Scholarship. Ms. Stillo served as “student attorney” in the Civil Justice Clinical Program at Villanova, where she successfully represented clients in family law and healthcare administrative disputes.
