Monica Amador, Esq., is a Partner at Amador & Cuellar, PL., and focuses her practice on consumer rights and litigation. She fights for people who have been victimized by the banking, credit, and collection companies, as well as the legal system.
Before opening the Firm, Ms. Amador practiced litigation with a boutique construction law firm in Miami, representing clients from large developers, contractors, and engineers to individuals. In 2008, with the nation facing economic hardship, Ms. Amador began working in the area of consumer law and foreclosure defense. Since that time, she has defended hundreds of foreclosure and debt defense cases with positive results and has dedicated her practice to defending the rights of consumers. Through her Firm she continues to serve and advocate for consumers who have been victimized and defrauded by the system. She also works closely with her community and local government to educate the public on consumer rights, student loan reform and social justice.
Ms. Amador was born and raised in Miami, is married and has two wonderful children. She was raised in a working-class West Miami neighborhood; her parents are Cuban immigrants, and she understands firsthand the hardships and realities that face hardworking families every day. She prides herself in filling an important role in the area of consumer law, by advocating for the underdog in an arena historically dominated by big business.
