Miriam Frank is a key player in MLA Transform Advisory Services, Major, Lindsey & Africa’s consulting arm. Miriam’s particular focus is assisting corporate law departments and law firms as they seek to meet the needs – now and in the future – of complex and growing businesses. As part of this mission, Miriam helps general counsel and managing partners gain a deeper understanding of the individuals and teams that make up their departments and firms and insights as to how their work is viewed by their internal and external clients. This assistance allows the lawyer manager, new or experienced, to ensure that the legal organization is optimally organized and its members motivated and aligned.
A certified executive coach, former in-house lawyer, experienced manager and leader, and executive search consultant, Miriam also supports and guides general counsel and other senior lawyers as they acclimate to new responsibilities or overcome obstacles to success. She brings more than 30 years of experience and a warm, down-to-earth manner to her coaching and consulting. Miriam is a member of the International Coach Federation, Board Certified (by the Center for Credentialing and Education), and holds the credential of Advanced Certified Personal and Executive Coach. She is also certified and skilled in the use of a number of recognized assessments useful to her clients for both selection and ongoing development.
Miriam served for many years as a member of the leadership team of Major, Lindsey & Africa, the world’s most prominent search and consulting firm focused on placement of lawyers. Previously, Miriam conducted senior level searches on behalf of corporate law departments in a wide range of industries, all over the country. She is based in the firm's San Diego office.
