Mark Samson is a managing director with Getzler Henrich, based in New York. Over the last 21 years he has led more than 140 engagements in operations restructuring, business plan analysis, performance improvement, board member, bankruptcy consulting, cash and vendor management, and composition agreements. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Mark has restructured a number of commercial property leases for retail and restaurant clients, and has assisted clients with obtaining and managing PPP loans. He has also been working with clients to assess the potential benefits of filing a petition under Subchapter V of the Bankruptcy Code, both as an out-of-court negotiating tool and an in-court restructuring mechanism. Mark’s involvement in the restructuring of Diesel Jeans USA, which involved taking them in and out of bankruptcy in 38 days, resulted in winning M&A Advisor’s award for 2019 “Deal of the Year under $100 million.” Mark has written extensively on composition agreements, including in the NY Law journal, and currently sits on several boards as independent director.
