Lisa B. Horowitz, Esq. is Senior Manager of Professional Development at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, an international law firm with offices throughout the United States and Europe. She facilitated the design, development and implementation of McDermott University, a systematic professional, leadership and business development initiative that includes core skills, training, mentoring and career planning elements. She trains and coaches attorneys at all levels on the development of career plans that incorporate the identification and implementation of leadership and business development goals. Ms. Horowitz is President-Elect of the National Association of Women Lawyers and served as National Co-Chair of Programs for several years. She has also served on the Steering Committee of the Law Practice Management Section of the District of Columbia Bar. A graduate of Tufts University, Ms. Horowitz received her J.D. from The National Law Center, George Washington University. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and practiced federal procurement law as a partner and an associate in Washington DC for 18 years. Ms Horowitz received her M.S. in Organizational Development/Human Resources from Johns Hopkins University. She is a frequent trainer, speaker and writer on professional development and career planning issues including the 2006 ABA Commission on Women: Women in Law Leadership Conference and the 2005 Professional Development Institute co-sponsored by ALI/ABA and NALP.
