Jon Blattmachr’s experience in securities, commercial litigation and bankruptcy runs deep: His law career is built on a distinguished background in finance. As a former investment adviser at leading financial firms in New York, Jon made his mark by solving problems and meeting long-term goals for high-net-worth investors, institutional clients and family offices.
Today, that same desire to serve propels a practice defined by achievement, including leading multiple teams that investigate and litigate claims as a member of court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee, Irving H. Picard, for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS). Jon advises companies in litigations, transactional matters and investigations.
After advising hedge funds on the sell side during his prior career, he now counsels private funds in transactional and litigation matters. Jon also has in-house experience, having been seconded to a multi-billion dollar fund management company in New York.
