Many privacy laws offer consumers the right to request the deletion of their personal information under certain circumstances. Managing this right to delete is one of the most vexing obligations that businesses face: Some businesses have data stored in multiple systems and with multiple vendors; Some businesses have large unstructured data sets, making for a time-consuming data discovery challenge; and not all U.S. privacy laws have the same deletion exemptions and/or timing and verification requirements. In addition to the right to delete offered to consumers under the state privacy laws, newly passed laws applicable to data brokers mandate monitoring of and responding to deletion requests within short timeframes.

Join us to learn some tips for meeting the data deletion challenge and how to help future proof your processes as new and expanded laws are passed.
