Virgina  Trunkes

Virginia (Ginger) Trunkes is Senior National Counsel of OHLA USA, Inc., where she

advises key management on matters concerning contract negotiation, strategic

planning, risk management and dispute resolution. Ginger draws from her 25 years of

significant and broad experience in the construction and real estate industries when she

developed and implemented legal and risk mitigation strategies and project support

from the RFP stage through contract drafting and negotiation to completion. She is

proficient at navigating conflicts that arise over a project’s lifecycle including issues

pertaining to performance, schedule, supply chain challenges and stresses on

contractor overhead, as well as advocating in state and federal courts, private

arbitrations and mediations, and public agency claim resolution. 

Ginger is currently an active member of the American Bar Association’s Forum on

Construction and a past Chair of the Construction Law Committee of the New York City

Bar Association. She has written and presented extensively on legal issues involving

construction contracting and real estate development. Ginger obtained her Juris Doctor

from Brooklyn Law School and her undergraduate degree from the State University of

 

New York at Buffalo.
