Matthew F. Weil, Esq. is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP, specializing in complex patent litigation and counseling. He has been involved in matters relating to all sorts of technologies, running the gamut from electronics to mechanical devices to biotechnology, and he also has experience with trade secret litigation and trademark and trade dress litigation over famous trademarks and product configurations. From 1991 to 1992, he served as a law clerk to Ninth Circuit Judge Mary M. Schroeder. Mr. Weil has published extensively in the area of patent law and Federal Circuit jurisprudence and served on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Patent Law Association, the Board of Editors of the American Intellectual Property Law Association™s AIPLA Quarterly Journal and on the Advisory Board of the Whittier Law School Center for Intellectual Property Law.
