Jeffrey Hutton serves as Assistant General Counsel at Exelon Corporation, a competitive energy provider. In that capacity, he provides litigation counsel to the energy generation, competitive energy sales, transmission and distribution, and shared services subsidiaries of Exelon with respect to commercial and tort matters. He has managed and participated in complex commercial litigation before arbitration bodies as well as federal and state courts in numerous jurisdictions. A 2013 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, he has served in various roles on committees within Exelon’s Legal Department, and is currently is a member of the Law Firm Subcommittee of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. He also provides pro bono services to the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. A cum laude graduate of Temple University School of Law, Jeffrey specialized in professional malpractice and appellate law, and then commercial litigation, at two Philadelphia law firms before joining Exelon in 2003.
