Jason J. Kohout, Esq. is a senior counsel and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of its Estates & Trusts, Taxation, and Government & Public Policy Practices and the Health Care Industry Team. His work encompasses all areas of tax and corporate law, and focuses on the areas of tax-exempt organizations, charitable giving, and political and lobbying law. Mr. Kohout, who has co-developed his firm’s Charitable Academy, a presentation series to prepare professionals for board service and involvement with non-profits as pro bono advisors, and is also an active member of the ABA Tax Section, regularly presents programs and writes on taxation and related issues. In 2013 and 2014, he was selected for inclusion in the Wisconsin Super Lawyers – Rising Stars® lists.
