Elizabeth Thomas, Esq. is a partner in the law firm of K&L Gates LLP, based in its Seattle office, where she has represented municipalities, utilities, independent power producers and private entities on a broad spectrum of energy, water, wastewater and other utility issues; has worked on administrative matters, regulatory proceedings, litigation and legislation at the federal, state and local level; and has advised clients on greenhouse gas issues and alternative energy projects, among others. A member of the federal Energy Bar Association and its Hydroelectric Regulation committee, among others, Ms. Thomas regularly speaks and writes on energy and climate change issues, including greenhouse emissions, carbon credits and cap and trade.
