She was the managing partner of Ratheal, Maggard & Fortune, PLLC, before returning to a dedicated solo practice. Donelle has practiced family law for over thirty years at the trial and appellate levels. Her appellate practice includes cases resulting in published judicial opinions that clarified or extended Oklahoma family law.
Donelle has served two terms as the OBA Family Law Section CLE Committee Chair, and two terms as its Section Chair. She was an author and editor of the first edition of the Oklahoma Family Law Practice Manual. She is a recipient of the Marvin Emerson Golden Quill Award for legal writing.
Donelle has been a speaker for the OBA and ABA in the areas of substantive family and probate law, ethics, law office technology and law practice management. She has been a national webinar speaker and author on family law, estate planning and probate law issues for the past five years. She taught legal writing at the University of Oklahoma School of Law.
