David L. Hall is a partner at Wiggin and Dana LLP, and co-chair of the Cybersecurity and Privacy practice group. He is a member of the firm’s International Trade Compliance, National Security, and White Collar Defense practice groups. David represents corporations and individuals in investigations and prosecutions by the Department of Justice and other federal and state agencies, conducts internal investigations and corporate compliance assessments for companies, and advises clients concerning the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), export controls (ITAR, EAR), and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). David served for 23 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, prosecuting a number of high-profile export control cases, including the prosecution of Armaments Corporation of South Africa (ARMSCOR), Kentron, and Fuchs Electronics for violations of the Arms Export Control Act during the apartheid era. He also successfully prosecuted Amir Ardebili, an Iranian arms procurement agent.
