Denise D. Lehr serves as the Director of Professional Development and Compliance at Kelley Kronenberg. In this role, Denise works with the firm’s leadership to ensure that all of Kelley Kronenberg’s attorneys and staff are fully equipped with the skills and resources needed to handle the workload, and dedicate the utmost care to client service. Denise assists firm members by facilitating team collaboration, ensuring strategic alignment, and maximizing department efforts to reach client goals. Additionally, she provides mentoring, coaching, and performance management strategies to help department leaders and their associates improve productivity and profitability.
Denise earned her Juris Doctor degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, and practiced law in New York and Florida for nearly ten years, handling employment law and appellate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Denise was an Associate Director of Career & Professional Development at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Shepard Broad Law Center, where she created and conducted training programs and interactive workshops. Denise earned a Certificate of Completion in Cognitive Coaching, and has completed several Master’s level courses relating to Human Resource and Career Development at NSU’s Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
As an Adjunct Professor at the NSU Law Center, Denise taught Contract and ERISA Law in the Master of Science in Employment Law Program. Denise created and delivered the masters-level curricula through on-line and classroom environments. In addition, she served as a Subject Expert, guiding students through research and writing components of their Scholarly Thesis Paper. In her role as Coach for the Florida Bar Auxiliary Program, Denise provided mentoring and guidance to first-time Florida Bar Examinees.
As a member of the National Association for Law Professionals (NALP), Denise attends numerous educational conferences and seminars aimed at fostering lawyer development. She has also spoken on such topics at bar association and law school events.
Denise is actively involved in the South Florida legal community, serving as a Board Member of the B’nai B’rith Justice Unit #5207, and a member of the Broward County Bar Association. Denise is also a member of the NALP and the Professional Development Consortium (PDC).
